Settling in with Nugg

Here it is, Saturday evening already. LittleBit is sitting on my lap "helping" me write this. Other than her size, you wouldn't know she was a preemie. She's doing really well. We're thinking she has some reflux, however, which is common among preemies. As long as she's propped up a bit, she does great.

AJ is starting to vie for attention. He wants to help with her all the time (which is usually pretty cute), and he is pretty anxious to wrestle her. We are constantly reminding him that she is easy to break and he can't jump on her or on anyone holding her. He came up with a pretty fun nickname for his little sister: "Nugg". (I think this is short for "nugget" - he's been coming up to her and saying "Hi, Nugg!") Mommy is out having some 1-on-1 with him right now, which I'm sure he is eating up.

We understand our church ward will be split tomorrow. This almost certainly will result in our being in a different ward from many of our good friends, making it harder to keep in touch. Apparently, 3 current wards will be made into 4. We're right on the edge of the ward, so will likely be excised into one having all new people. On the plus side, I may escape primary! (doubtless "into the fire"). Anyway, with the ward split meeting this week, General Conference next week, and stake conference the following week, we won't even meet our new ward for quite awhile.

She may not complain now...but you may want to let her keep "nugg" as a family-only nickname. :) Glad things are going well. Tell AJ we miss his funny self, and give them both a kiss for us.
